Board members

Mary Edwards is Executive Director of the Turner Syndrome Society of Canada, a position she has held since October, 2005.
She has been involved with the Society for over 25 years; as one of the founding members of the Ottawa chapter, Board member, and national President for two terms.
She has a B.Sc. from Queen’s University, a M.Sc. in biology from the University of Ottawa, and a diploma in Public Relations from Algonquin College.
Her work experience includes research labs at the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto and the University of Ottawa, and in the cytogenetics lab at the Children’s Hospital for Eastern Ontario.
She currently also works with the Group of 78, a Canadian foreign policy group. Mary was born in Thunder Bay, and has lived in Ottawa since 1978 with her husband Mark.
They have two grown children, Chris and Lynn, who were adopted as infants.
